Dublin Adult Learning Centre (DALC)

Dublin Adult Learning Centre (DALC) supports adults who want to get back into learning, improve basic skills, or build confidence in a welcoming and supportive environment.

DALC can be especially helpful for people who did not finish school, do not have formal qualifications, feel nervous about returning to education, or would like practical support with everyday reading, writing, digital skills or work-related learning.

The centre offers support with:

   Reading, writing and maths

   Basic literacy and language skills

   Basic and intermediate computer skills

   Help with using a smartphone

   Building confidence and personal skills

   Art for beginners

   Skills for work

DALC provides a friendly adult learning environment where people can learn at their own pace. The focus is on practical skills, confidence and helping adults take the next step, whether that is further learning, employment, community participation or everyday independence.

This support may be useful for parents who want to build confidence, return to education, improve digital skills, support their children’s learning, or take steps towards work or training.
