You don’t need to have it all figured out.
The Mums Hub Confidence & Pathways Programme is a free, supportive programme for mothers in the North East Inner City who are thinking about returning to work, exploring education or training, rebuilding confidence, or taking practical next steps towards employment and financial independence.
This is a space to begin, with real conversations, real support, and real pathways forward.
This programme is funded by the North East Inner City Initiative (NEIC).
The Confidence & Pathways Programme for Mothers in the NEIC is funded by the North East Inner City Initiative (NEIC). This support helps Mums Hub provide free, welcoming and practical sessions for local mothers to build confidence, explore education and work pathways, and access support that meets them where they are.

A free, welcoming space for mums to rebuild confidence, explore options, and take the next step at their own pace.
Confidence
A relaxed space to rebuild self-belief, recognise your skills, and take the next step at your own pace.
Pathways
Information and guidance around work, education, training, upskilling, and school-hours-friendly opportunities.
Practical support
Support may include CV preparation, coaching, interview confidence, job search help, and follow-on sessions where needed.

A supportive space for mums
Motherhood builds real skills; organisation, communication, problem-solving, care, patience, resilience, and leadership. But many mums can still feel unsure about where to begin when thinking about work, education, training, or confidence after time away.
This programme meets mums where they are.
Whether you are ready to take a practical step now, or you simply want to explore your options in a relaxed and supportive space, you are welcome.
We do not expect mothers to fit one fixed route. Caring responsibilities, school hours, childcare, transport, confidence, income and safety can all affect what is possible.
That is why our work starts with the mother in front of us. What does she want? What does she need? What is realistic right now?

Education Pathways Session
Thursday, 25 June 2026
10am–12pm
Charleville Mall Library
At this session, education and training providers will join us to chat about courses and upskilling options available from September. We will focus on options that may work for mums, including courses during school hours, online or from home, and free or low-cost routes into education. We will also have someone there to explain SUSI grants and other financial supports, so mums can better understand what help may be available.
Practical support that meets mums where they are
Mums do not need to have everything figured out before attending.
This programme is a space to begin, connect with others, ask questions, and explore what might be possible.
Mums Hub also uses what we learn through these sessions to better understand what mothers need from services, employers, training providers, and local supports.
Real conversations help shape real pathways forward.
Real conversations, practical support, and pathways that recognise family life as part of the picture.
What this programme offers
The Confidence & Pathways Programme is not a formal course or employment service. It is a welcoming space for mothers to explore options, ask questions, rebuild confidence, and get practical support.
Each session has a theme, but the programme is flexible. If mums identify a clear need, Mums Hub may arrange additional supports such as CV workshops, coaching, job search guidance, interview preparation, education information, or employer sessions.
The aim is simple: to support mums to take realistic next steps towards confidence, dignity, opportunity, and financial independence.
